Now, I know you may not agree with me on this one, but, I do think this is a beautiful thing! I have always had a fascination with bare trees. The design of the branches against a grey sky is such a calming picture to me. It’s the essence of simplicity. Even without their lovely green attire, the structure and architesture of the tree is a beauty to behold. It also reminds me that changes come, and go…just as the leaves. We may feel stripped bare ourselves at times, but just as the leaves start to bud out again…hope will blossom…growth will begin…and all will be green.
I received a wonderful award today from my dear friend, Kat, at Just A Beach Kat. It is an award that offers the giver the opportunity to bless, praise and pray for a blogger who has been a blessing to her. The recipient, ‘pays it forward’ to other bloggers who have been a blessing to her. And on it goes…and goes.
I can think of little else that would warm my heart as much as knowing I am a blessing to someone else. God has been so good to me and my family. He, who is the creator of all good things, has blessed me so far beyond what I deserve. I can never repay His goodness…I can only attempt to share it. And, if I have done this, I am pleased. I must say to you, my friends, that you are daily a blessing to me as I read the bits of your life that you choose to share. My, how we learn and grow by watching each other. It is very hard to choose someone for this award, because I want to choose you all!
And so, I take this opportunity to bless, praise, and pray for Angie, at By Faith…Angie. She always warms my heart with her excitement over the Word. Her excitement is contagious and you can see she really loves the Lord. I am always uplifted and blessed by checking in with her. God bless you, Angie.
Does your refrigerator have the same problem mine does? Mine seems to collect any and everything that has a magnet back. I recently pulled all the ‘stuff’ off of mine. I sat looking at it and boy did it bring back memories. Some of these things have been around since my boys were small. So I put some of them back up and made some pictures. Thought I’d share them with you today. Click on picture to enlarge.
I am a Christian woman who has survived many years on the planet. God has blessed me with a wonderful family: husband, 3 sons, a dear DIL, and a precious grandson. I also have dear friends to keep me inspired. I am an artist of sorts and am finding my way through the great blessing of retirement. I recently retired after 20 years as a music teacher. Life is good!
