 The first proof is based on Genesis 7:4, when God said to Noah: “Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living creature I have made.”

When God referred to seven days, he meant both seven days and seven thousand years, because “one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” The flood occurred in 4990 BC. Seven thousand years later is 2011.

“I publicly proclaim bold promises, I don’t whisper obscurities in some dark corner.”   Isaiah 45:19    So, why did these men have to spend so much time figuring out the clues that led them to declare the end is near?

*****THEY SAY*****

The second proof looks at the significance of the number of days between the Crucifixion and May 21, 2011.

There are 722,500 days between these dates. 722,500 is a significant number because it is composed of the significant numbers 5x10x17x5x10x17. Five signifies redemption; ten signifies completion; and 17 signifies heaven. The numbers represent the day of redemption (5) and the end of the Christian era (10) and the ascent to heaven (17) — and these factors are doubled for added significance.

  “Heaven and earth will pass away but my words never will. But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven nor the Son, but only the father.” (Matthew 24:35-36) 

I believe God.  I trust God.  I know, “It is impossible for God to lie.”  Hebrews 6:18.  I believe that is true.  Therefore, I feel safe and confident that when Jesus said of God in Matthew 24:36,  “Regarding the date and time…only the Father knows.”   He also said in Acts 1:7,  when asked when the world would end, “…it is not for you to know.”  Now, to me, that is as plain and simple as it gets.  No hidden or coded messages.  No revealing such dates to one man and not another.  BTW…this man also predicted that the world would end on September 6, 1944.  Hmmmmm.

God can not lie.  It is in the very core of who He is.    Either all He said was true, or all He said was false.  Either I believe that He does what He says He will do…or I believe He can do nothing.  Either He is right, or He is wrong.  Friend, I have seen Him be right about too many things in my short life not to believe He’s right.  I gave my life to Him and I trust that He will come and get me one day to go and live with Him. 

Yes, this world will end.  But, not today.  It will be at a time of God’s own choosing.  He does not want us to know when it will be or He would have told us.  He told us everything we need to know about His coming back, and how to be certain we would go with Him.  He told us how we can continue to live forever with Him.  He told us how we can be reunited with our loved ones who believed in him. 

There are those who take the Bible and twist it and turn it and change it to make it more to their liking.  Or to say what they wish it said.  The Bible is true…just like it is.  I believe everything it says is true.  In fact, I stake my life on it!
